Every day millions of photographs are taken around the world,
These photographs live in silos – distributed across social media platforms like
Imagine if these photographs were combined, organized, and overlaid on a map.

THE MISSION
Sorry Facebook, the current model sucks. We can build something better.
MapĐapp believes:
1. Users should always own their content.
2. Users should profit from the revenue their content generates.
It’s time to usher in Web 3.0.
FAQ
How does MapĐapp eliminate photo fraud?
All photographs are taken from within the MapĐapp App. This allows for verification of photograph location (latitude/longitude) and date/time. MapĐapp plans on integrating the FOAM Proof-of-Location Protocol to eliminate location/IP fraud.
This is simplified answer; more technical details on the process will be released in the MapĐapp Whitepaper (Q3 2018)
How does MapĐapp deal with illegal content?
All photograph submissions are reviewed automatically by machines and manually by humans. The machine level ensures each image is unique and time-stamped accurately. Humans – who are incentivized by earning MAP tokens – ensure photo submissions abide by the MapĐapp constitution.
Accurate reporting is incentivized by MAP staking – a process which will create new jobs (validating MapĐapp submissions) around the world.
Why does MappĐapp use blockchain?
Blockchain allows for decentralized applications like MapĐapp to exist. This means nobody owns or controls MapĐapp. To advertise on MapĐapp companies pay in BAT (Basic Attention Token) which is then automatically distributed to content creators, all thanks to smart contracts and blockchain. As the technology improves MapĐapp plans on using the FOAM Proof-of-Location Protocol to verify content location.
Blockchain offers a trustless, transparent way for users to be properly compensated for the revenue they bring to MapĐapp.
When does MapĐapp launch?
MapĐapp is in the design and development stage. A small, capped ICO & airdrop are being planned for Q4 2018 with an Alpha launch in Q1 2019.
